Some “geniuses” here, at least some self proclaimed ones, think knowing assembler makes them real Systems Programmers. Well, I’ve been getting paid like one for 2 decades. Anyone dumb enough to learn assembler in 2023, which is dying a slow tortuous death, deserves to be replaced by AI. (They will be) My best advice to anyone who is young enough to still be working in this profession 10 years from now, is learn AI & forget about assembler. You’ll be glad you did.
