That does not smell like a certificate problem to me at all. That sounds like a local firewall issue to me. Is it possible your firewall is blocking the connection with the IBM server because of the new server certificate? Are you seeing a stack trace or other information in the SYSPRINT from RECEIVE which might offer further hints? If not, try adding javadebugoptions="-Dcom.ibm.smp.debug=severe" to your CLIENT XML for more info. Barring any further revelations with the debug output, it might be time to get a packet trace and open a case with the Comm Server IBM Support team to debug further.
