Last IBM earnings in April indicated z sales were up 7%. From the earnings
report, “sales of Z mainframe computer systems increased by 7% following the
release in May of the Z16 model.”
But, I’m not enthused about IBM (the company) at all. In fact I stated the
stock has traded in a range of 120-140 for awhile and I wouldn’t invest in it,
but did trade it once or twice.
What I am enthused by is the likelihood of the mainframe being the platform of
choice by real banks, healthcare companies, insurance companies, big retailers,
and others, for decades into the future, long past our lifetimes.

But Bill definitely does and almost makes up for IBM's failing with his
