The Chinese are poised to own the EV industry in the next 20 years without worrying about high-density neighbourhoods. It will be easy enough to switch in a new battery module. The traditional European/US car manufacturers will not be able to complete with state subsidies and the requirement to reengineer their manufacturing at great expense. It’s all about tech now, not engineering a new V6 engine.
