I created a custom group that contains a subset of the LPARs defined on that
CEC. When I assign an activation profile to an LPAR in the custom group, the
new assignment isn't being reflected in the Systems Management tab for the
LPARs I changed, it's showing the value that was assigned before my change.

Is this normal?
Should I be concerned?
If we activate the LPAR using its entry in the Systems Management tab, which
profile will it use?
I assume that if we activate the LPAR using its entry in the custom group, it
WILL use the newly assigned activation profile, since that's what is showing.

I have many concerns/questions.

IMHO it is not related to the group.

BTW: what does it mean "assigned to LPAR"?
IMHO you can have multiple Reset profiles, but only one Image aka LPAR profile - that's because profile name is equal LPAR name. So it is impossible to have two LPAR profiles for one LPAR. Regarding Reset profiles - one of them is assigned for activation. Only one.

Trivia: you can have more LPAR profiles, some of the profiles can be unassigned. It can be used as a trick: take LP1, save as LP1A, LP1B, etc. And you have backup copies. However only LP1 profile can used for LP1 LPAR. The rest is inactive.
