That's true ZAAP and Java workloads can be run on ZIIP meeting the below..

The zAAP on zIIP capability is not available if z/OS is in an LPAR and
zAAPs are installed on the machine.
zIIP to CP ratio of no more than 1:1; the number of zIIPs cannot exceed the
number of CPs.
z/OS V1.11 and above, and z/OS 1.9 and 1.10 (with PTF for APAR OA27495).
System parameter update - New ZZ system parameter : ZAAPZIIP=YES or NO (or
ZZ=YES or NO) YES = enabled
