I have a started task that is started by TCPIP via its AUTOLOG which is
fine.

The problem comes when we need to stop the STC, which we do using the P STC
command, and then TCPIP detects that it is down and restarts it.

What is the proper way to stop the STC so that TCPIP will *not* attempt a
restart?

And then, once we do restart it, to have TCPIP pick up once again with the
autolog monitoring?

Thanks in advance
