Customize/Delete activation profiles (under operational customization).

If you want to add one dynamically (assuming an active system), I honestly
don't know
if z/VM or zLinux supports that like z/OS. But if it does you can
change the profile and add the engine dynamically and remember that at
some point you want to activate the profile when the system is down to "harden"
the change. I also don't know if z/VM or zLinux will remember what was last
online so
if you don't do an activate before the next IPL, you may lose what you add
dynamically
(if z/VM or zLinux supports doing that). Adding a processor dynamically is
done via Logical Processor Add).

Finally... although not really any of my business, but if you don't already
know where to
define the number of processors on the HMC for an LPAR, I question if you
should be the
one trying to change anything on the HMC to begin with. Or is this a homework
question?

Mark
