What I am trying to do is FTPS - native ftp with AT-TLS involved to handle the SSL/TLS security stuff. And every one of my tests has been wrong because I have been trying to do SFTP with WinSCP when what I really wanted to do is what WinSCP calls ftp with encryption ... a completely different animal. And a perfect explanation for why absolutely nothing I was doing was going to make it work. Hopefully, now I can make some progress! Thanks again!
