Peter one of the things I look at is did other areas in z/OS change that then could affect how much CSA/SQA you really get. I do the same for the 24/31 bit private area. As you know you the system will round off the request so you may have been getting more then you asked for and now that "more" has be decreased. Also I monitor the overflow of SQA to CSA which I'm guessing happened to you.
The other comments people have made are also good. I like to from time to time look to see who is using CSA/SQA and also try to watch to see if overall CSA/SQA usage is increasing. Thanks..
