What is SETPROG LNKLST, chopped liver? Well, that doesn't help for active tasklibs, and it's a manual operation for the link list, but it is at least a partial solution.

Unless I am misunderstanding root cause, in particular the reason LNKLST data sets are delivered with zero secondary space, the fundamental problem is a lack of support for new extents being added to active LNKLST (or STEPLIB or perhaps any open DCB) for old-school PDS.
