I am already allocating a large initial buffer. The issue is with my general routines like the CBT program REXXGBLV, where since they are in the public domain, I have no idea of nor control over how they will be used. I have a couple of methods for handling the issue, but a direct read access, or a READ NEXT LOCATE, would be so much simpler. Can't have it all I guess.
