I know the old adage that old dogs can't learn new tricks but why not just learn native Linux tools? I bit the bullet and finally learned Vim a few years ago and now that I've mastered it I consider ISPF to be too limited for my needs. Linux has a plethora of very powerful tools that you can run from the shell. My advice is to embrace them and not try to recreate an ISPF environment.
