Thanks Doug.  You can ALTER the CATALOG "catalog" entries from NOECSHARE to 
ECSHARING on the fly and the issue the CATALOG,ECSHR(AUTOADD).

If you have done the CF work, and you issued the modify to the catalog AS, then 
yes, you should be able to. The catalog ECSHARE should work it out between EC 
mode and VVDS mode.
