How many firms with outsourced or cloud strategies still seem to want more direct mainframe skills kept in house. The great side of that is a feeling that the real importance these skills bring to an org has not been completely lost to lure of commodity mindsets!
I for one am not convinced that real competitive advantages come from following a pack. Competitive advantages come from those that really understand and exploit the niche services that they created.
