Yeah, it is annoying, but...

Naming standards to change over time (50+ years for MVS), from component to
component, and due to reorganizations, mergers, acqusitions, etc.
Therefore the old grandfathered names are typically going to be
inconsistent. Then there is the code that existed prior to standards.
