A lot easier to let SMTP figure it out!
z/VM has a CP QUERY TIMEZONE command:
query timezone
Zone Direction Offset Status
UTC ---- 00.00.00 Inactive
GMT ---- 00.00.00 Inactive
EDT West 04.00.00 Active
EST West 05.00.00 Inactive
So it's trivial to get the Zone name. Of course, the name and the offset have to be defined
to CP in either the system parms or via command. You would think that IBM's "Premiere
OS" would be able to provide something this simple! :-)>
