Hi All, We are under the process of migrating to DS8870 from DS8810. While I create new Ranks with Array capacity of 2400GB(8*300GB), I get around 1652GB of usable storage while rest will go for Parity and Spare. We use SSD disks and I used Ranks to pick RAID5 which automatically picked RAID 5 (6+P+S) and thus causing loss of 750 GB of storage. We need RAID 5 (7+S) for 'Development' LPAR's to increase the usable storage but DS8000 GUI is not allowing me chose RAID 5 (7+S) combination. Can you please advice how to make Ranks pick RAID 5 (7+S) combination.? Regards, Raju
