Southern Ontario too but automatic updates is off, but missed the teeny tiny
little checkbox not to install chrome.
Am I wrong, is google becoming a nasty player?

Shouldn't have to go to the trouble of backing out their 'help'!
If I'd wanted CHROME, I'd have kept it years ago!

Ted,
I just got burnt on Windows 7 x 64 bit, using Outlook 2007. I couldn't
click on URLs and pull up my IE9 browser. I downloaded the fix from
Microsoft. Applied it. Outlook worked fine, it wrecked IE9. Thank got is
took a backup point prior all I had to do s restore, but still have my
Outlook issue. I have seem several products install Chrome as part of
them ...

I installed an upgrade of Flash Player, yesterday, unattended.

I know this is off-topic to the lists I've cross-posted to but I think

I, personally, don't like CHROME.
And, I don't know (for sure) that this is what did it.
But, it's the only update I've done in months, except for Patch
Tuesday(s).
A word to the wise is efficient.
PS: this was done in Canada (Southern Ontario), if that's relevant.
