We swapped out a z10 to a z196 processor last weekend and on one of the lpars we're seeing something that I don't understand.

The lpar in question has been defined with 6GB memory with 2GB in reserve, same as it was on the old z10. But when we IPL the zOS 1.12 image on the new processor we're seeing this;

IEE174I 07.10.13 DISPLAY
REAL STORAGE STATUS
ONLINE-NOT RECONFIGURABLE
    0M-3072M
ONLINE-RECONFIGURABLE
    3072M-6144M
PENDING OFFLINE
    NONE
 2048M IN OFFLINE STORAGE ELEMENT(S)
 0M UNASSIGNED STORAGE
STORAGE INCREMENT SIZE IS 256M

Can anyone explain why three of the initial six GB is coming up as ONLINE-RECONFIGURABLE?
