I didn't mention it in my last post on this subject because I think the COMMAND package from the CBT is a far superior solution, but I also have a program on my web site / CBT file 434 called ACBCHECK. You can put this as the first step in an STC and it waits for VTAM to be active and the ACB to be available. This is what I did "in the old days" before automation when I started vtam applications via COMMNDxx in parmlib.
