The same case for the RLSE operand in JCL. Storage is much cheaper than is used to be, but we still want to use it effectively. If I have an Aggregate that is 10%, and I don't expect it to grow, I could the area for something better.

It should be noted that the (so-called) free thinking designers of LVM[2] for Linux suffered from the same inexcusable myopia. Took years for the user community to kick sense into them and have the facilty added.
