Another program cannot acquire storage within your sp231 storage. At least, not unless that program, or some other program, first released/freemained all or part of your storage (yes, that could happen accidentally).
When you say the abend points to unknown=program, do you mean that you can't see your code in the dump and you don't know exactly where it abended?
