Hi There, VSAM RLS was for the first implemented at our shop. However, we experience issues with the ADRDSSU backup of the files, failing with:
ADR952E (001)-DTDSC(01), THE IDAQDMP MACRO FAILED DURING QUIESCE PROCESSING FOR CLUSTER DFHSM.P0R0.BCDS WITH RETURN CODE 00000008 We are aware that HSM has its own backup mechanism, but we are using the HSM CDS files for testing purposes. One recommendation that I came across is that the DSSTIMEOUT parm be set in the IDGSMSxx member in the parmlib, and then to wait until SMSVSAM is refreshed to have this activated. Should T SMS=xx not activate this immediately (dynamically)? Another recommendation is to set the BWO to TYPECICS or TYPEIMS. Is this parm not applicable to files accessed by CICS only?
