Hi, this is the announcement for our free zHero workshops in Duesseldorf, Germany. They run as different Tracks on 3 days (Sept 18th thru 20th), some of them include Hands-on Labs: Track1: CICS and MQ - Application, Foundation and Optimization Track2: WebSphere - Application, Foundation and Optimization Track3: Information Management (Fokus IMS) - Turning Information into Insights
Available IMS labs include: IMS Java and Open Database (Use Remote JDBC to IMS DB plus write an IMS Java Batch + Online application) IMS COBOL/Java Interoperability (COBOL calls Java and Java calls COBOL in IMS regions) IMS PL/I Java Interoperability (PL/I calls Java and Java calls PL/I in IMS regions) IMS XML DB (Try how to access existing IMS DB with XML and XQuery/XPath) IMS Explorer (Access IMS DBs with standard tooling) IMS Callout (Write COBOL transaction that does callout to generated MDB running on WebSphere z/OS) Track4: Tivoli and Security - Optimize the impact of business infrastructures and services In September there will be no DB2 Track because the "DB2 Aktuell" Event is in the same week (Sept 17th thru 19th 2012). On Sept 18th there will be an evening get together event.
