I have seeked but found nothing about this, why the new servers have been named z196& z114 and not Z11 EC& Z11 BC?
zEnterprise is an entirely new class of hybrid server (see zBX and Unified Resource Manager) whose traditional mainframe product component designations are currently z1xx where z1 = 'generation 1' and 'xx' = the number of 'cores' on the machine. z196 has 96 cores; z114 has 14 cores.
