Second, z/OS 1.13 will IPL on a z900/z800. This means the BCP can only use instructions supported by those processors. Third, according to yesterday's SOD, z/OS 2.1 requires at least a z9 processor. This implies the BCP in 2.1 can use instructions introduced on those processors.
