The few symbols that IBM needs, such as &SYSR1, are built automatically. There is no need for a default IEASYMxx. Considering the multitude of filtering options allowed, I doubt if IBM could come up with one that didn't cause more problems than it solved. If your LOADxx member specifies your PARMLIB libraries, I think you can place the IEASYMxx in anyone of those. The same may be true if your PARMLIBs are specified in MSTRJCL.
