The SMF30 record is broken down into many parts. For job info you need a JOB record SMF30TYP == 5 Then in the identification section you need SMF30SIT and SMF30STD, time and date the job started. Use the SMF30TME and SMF30DTE of the record as the job end time and date.
For step totals you want to use SMF30TYP == 4 As far as accounting information, it is in the various sections of the record. What to use for costing and the like is an open discussion that has gone on many times on the list. Check the archives. I had a look into the SMF30 record but haven't found a field / fields where this information's seems to be in. Perhaps I haven't seen the field but it would be perfect if someone can write me 2 sentences probably with some hints and tips about "Batch quality" analyses. What fields do you use for consumption / accounting? A CPU-Time field or the SU fields? Duration? I/O ? I know a lot of questions but every sentence helps. :) Thx in advance for your help.
