(I have here 2 backupcopies and 2 datasets)
Cant happen that the D0003982 has gone ?

Check to see if any of your CDS Backups have been migrated. If yes,
recall them and retry Backvol CDS.
I'm assuming your backups are outputted to disk, not tape.
