The worst thing is that some computer systems neither understand nor
accept such date. People can complain, agree or disagree, but people
rarely reset or hang because of such problems. Computer system do, even
if their vendors claim everything is OK. AFAIK Glonass, Russian flavor
of GPS was out of service for 40+ hours after leap second change.
BTW: Leap second should be adjusted on HMC, but it's very bad idea to
adjust 2 leap second at the time (i.e. forgotten change from the past +
current leap second). AFAIK it's not clearly documented.
Of course, *only* z/OS images working in sysplex would be affected ;-)))
