Hello Lately in one of my courses regarding z/Linux I was asked when did the IBM mainframe learn to IPL from DVD. Honestly I did not remember.
Does somebody on this list know the answer to the following questions? When and with what system model did IBM introduce the feature to IPL from DVD via HMC? Since what system model is it possible to install z/Linux via FCP attached DVD-ROM drive? Thank you in advance.
