Thx Linda, yes, that gives me a good write-up on how to do Port Knocking on 
OpenSuse, including also a good discussion of how to set up PAM (off-topic but 
interesting anyway as PAM has always been a bit of a mystery to me).

Not too much about using knockd on z/OS though.  I guess I'll ask IBM directly. 
 We may have to try something else as porting OSS code is a no-no here.
