IIRC it stands for Sort Random Access Method. It is a product that is called by user written programs like an internal sort. However, it can perform multiple sorts at once. I don't believe it uses any part of CA-Sort so you could have programs that are still using it and you might not know. You could do something like rename the load library and see what happens.
