AFAIK the 1403, 3211, 3285 and 3286 are still supported as output only
consoles. If you're under VM then you can define a virtual printer.
The problem is that message traffic only goes to the NIP console until
MCS is initialized, however, if your problem is, e.g., starting the
primary JES, then that can be useful.
If you use the HMC as your NIP console, is there a way to copy it to a
file?
