I meant to write IMO DVD media is not very reliable. I don't know how my fingers wrote IBM or why my eyes didn't catch the error. And when I say that it is not very reliable, I'm not just talking about longevity. I create rather a lot of DVDs of Linux distros and the like. The number of bad DVDs created is probably only a few percent, but I consider it unacceptably high.
