I had a hardware failure of some kind on Oct 15. Today I am missing the tape
that was indicated in the messages.
I looked at the ATL through the web interface and it says it is in the
gripper(acc1,g1) ISMF shows the tape as VOLUME MISPLACED. Earlier it had
VOLUME UNAVAILABLE. CA-1 shows SCRATCH. When a CA-1 CTSSYNC is run it gets an
RC08 on this drive with the following error codes
ERROR(S) SCRATCH 300761 REQUEST FAILED

We have run the inventory a couple of times and not luck in spotting the errant
tape. The Operators have opened up the ATL and manually scanned for the tape.
So far it is missing in action.
Any ideas where I can go next? The hardware support vendor says they did not
remove any tapes when they came in and brought the drive back on line. And the
only thing I know the vendor did was run an inventory and bring the A0B drive
back online.
Thanks
Lizette
