How do they get more msu's out of the Z01 with only 1 processor?
All CPUs in z10 are the same, equal in MSU power.
AFAIK z10 BC CPU works at lower frequency (less MHz) than z10EC, but
again - all z10BC models have the same clock frequency.
Difference in MSU/CPU is achieved without changing frequency (clock
rate): some CPU cycles are consumed by "dummy LPAR" and effectively you
got for example 2/3 of CPU cycles which means 2/3 of nominal (model A)
MSU power.
BTW: All specialty processors (ICF, IFL, zAAP, zIIP, SAP) work at full
speed, 100% cycles are usable.
