There's one contributor responding to another posts of Steve's where he saw something funny in the contraction from z/OS UNIX to zUNIX - oddly unexplained - who lost a part of his anatomy normally considered to be vital at this suggestion.
I think I can understand why the "ZUX" might be considered a contraction step too far reminding one, as it does, of the opening credits of "Getting Straight". I suppose it's just an affectation to employ a lower case "z" for zUNIX". - Oh well, now I'd better (try to) clear up all the remaining mess!
