Dear Dave Gibney, We are glad to inform you that on October 25, 2010 IBM has added the Roles Authorization Management (RAM) function to its Shopz tool capabilities. This new capability provides your enterprise with the ability to easily manage what users can do within the tool. In order to use RAM your company may now nominate a Group Manager. The Group Manager will be responsible for managing one or more group profiles. Access levels and other functional capabilities related to product orders, service orders, or both may then be assigned for individuals within each group. Get started now. If your company's group profiles and user roles have already been defined and authenticated by your IBM Group Administrator, you are all set to start leveraging the RAM enhancements in Shopz. If not, please identify a person who can play the Group Manager role within your company and contact your IBM representative to initiate migration to RAM. In the meantime, your company users will still be able to access Shopz with pre-RAM functionality.
