Hi, I'm hoping to replace the i5 CPU from my laptop (L401X) with an i7 which doesn't feature an integrated GPU. Will doing this in a sense disable Optimus (if Intel GPU doesn't exist push everything through the nVidia chip), or will this cause more headaches than it's worth. If anyone else has taken a similar route with their Optimus powered laptop I'd be very interested in hearing your experiences.
