Hey guys,
I am having an odd problem that I cannot seem to get info about. I am
trying to use vgaswitcheroo to switch the graphics hardware being used
by the display to the Discrete ATI card. The sequence of command to do
so that I use is:
cat switch #shows which one is active and which have power
echo ON > switch #power up any powered down cards
echo DIS > switch
I then restart X by logging out and when I come back in the Integrated
is still the active one:
0:IGD:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0
1:DIS: :Pwr:0000:01:00.0
I have also tried to use the DDIS command to queue a switch on the next
X restart but this results in a complete system hang. I went so far as
to follow a guide that will attempt to set the active one to DIS but
that seems to fail as well. No matter I seem to try I just cannot get
vgaswitcheroo to actually switch to the Discrete.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If more info is required feel
free to ask and I will include it in a reply.
