-------- Original Message -------- Subject: acpi_call and Asus K53SV Date: Sun, 15 May 2011 18:55:18 -0000 From: Pim Otte <[email protected]> Reply-To: Pim Otte <[email protected]> To: Mario <[email protected]> Just like "Surfing", who sent a mail earlier, my fan turns on full speed when i turn off the graphics card of my Asus K53SV (Nvidia gt 540m). As I understand it I need to have vga_switcheroo before i can use/try asus-switcheroo. However, vga_switcheroo is occasionally enabled, however, when I reboot /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo has disappeared. Using modeset=1 as kernel option doesn't change this. Any help is greatly appreciated. ;) -- This message was sent from Launchpad by Pim Otte (https://launchpad.net/~otte-pim) to each member of the Hybrid Graphics Linux team using the "Contact this team" link on the Hybrid Graphics Linux team page (https://launchpad.net/~hybrid-graphics-linux).
