Hi Jos, Thanks for the tip. I've executed the _DSM call and, at the moment, I do not see any real change in the remaining time for the battery. As Debian disables the old /proc/acpi API I can't know the discharge rate ... So I think it's not working, but I'm not sure. I'm compiling a 2.6.39-rc4 (with old API support), I'll tell you if there is any change. Note: I think part of the problem is caused by ACPI, because while all function keys are working, the brightness keys are not.
