The only problem I see is that it hasn't been done yet. This is a
TERRIFIC IDEA. I would love to be able to see the status of the
project and see how support has expanded over time. Once my
Alienware M11xR2 is fully supported, I would be more than happy to
add my own stuff to the mix. Obviously, the data will hold not just devices, but which kernel(s) and patch(es) needed and which OSes and eventually, desktop environments too.
