Thanks Best wishes Ram *We condemn the Statement of AMU VC* Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Zameer Uddin Shah on Monday rejected the demand of undergraduate girl students for access to the Maulana Azad Library, by saying there would be "four times more boys" in the library if girls were allowed in. We strongly condemned the above statement of the AMU Vice Chancellor. The statement is “extremely shocking and shameful” and it also goes against the constitution which provides equality and freedom for every citizen. Sir Syed Ahmed khan, a visionary Muslim intellectual and his associates realise the need of education for minorities specially Muslims in India. Educational institutions with specific aim and reason were started in 1875. The main aims and objectives of establishing the schools was to educationally uplift a large section of the community with special emphases on Muslims to bring them in the main stream of nations development. The vision of the university is as follows:- · To provide primary and secondary education to minorities and under privilege section of the society. · To provide conducive environment to enable students to be constructive thinkers, able to hypothesize, pose question ,investigate issues, develop solutions to problems and be able to use information and communication technologies tools for learning . To add a smart class facilities for classes IX and X students(short term vision) Use of modern and latest technologies for teachers and students to make the teaching learning process more effective. · *To provide equal opportunities to all students irrespective of their cast creed and religion.* · Effective Learning through group discussion, field work and value education by community interaction. · To prepare students equip with talent, values and traditions for higher studies in the university Vice Chancellor’s statement is also against the vision of the university. The university’s vision is very much clear to provide equal opportunities to all the students.
