We must not confuse fighting the political , military economic domination by the West with fighting terrorism , here we need their help as Pakistan the stronghold of state sponsored terror is being used by all knowing US as a mercenary to fight its war in Afghanistan .
Economic power drives all other types of powers , it gets you the military muscle you need to further your political aims . We need zero tolerance to corruption , better governance & growth to reach the status of a even minor super power in 5 decades as are far behind China today with no real plan to get anywhere . US will stay number one in the power game for the foreseeable future as has a lot of GDP , bombs & the political will to secure its strategic interests if needed . China is set to join them in 2~3 decades ,as is working on an integrated economic & military plan to get there & share the stage with USA if not to topple it . What US is doing in Iraq & Afghanistan, we have done it in Sikkim & Nepal , & tried to do so unsuccessfully in Sri Lanka . All nations play the same games , is just that some play in the super league others face off on the county club pitches . The West needs to understand that big terrorism today thrives on state support . Pak military trains , provides sanctuaries , arms & money to Al Qaida , Taliban , LeT etc. & uses these terrorists mainly against India & Afghanistan . It is no secret that US set up these groups , provided money & expertise thru Pak to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan & now Pakistan had devised its own devious plans as wants to run Afghanistan as it wishes after US leaves & to keep trouble going on in Kashmir . US is being taken for a royal ride here as in the name of anti terror co- operation, providing bases , accepting drone attacks , etc. Pak charges them a few billion $s each year for the humiliation . On the other hand Pak takes money from the Saudis to train & maintain jehadi groups. A very open double game that the world just watches. The day US leaves Afghanistan the Haqqani faction of Taliban will be in Kabul , with a hot line to ISI & we will be vacating all our consulates in Afghanistan. We must be careful whom we sympathize with & support .
