Dear Colleagues ,
Crimes against Dalits are on the increase all over the country,
as there is a climate of impunity for the upper classes/upper castes
which police forces are not able to curb. due to the political climate
of impunity apart from from the problem of increasing criminalisation
of society directed against all socially and economically weaker sections ,
including women ,due to the amorality of the political ,economic and
consequently social system and the values which are being advocated
through the mass media of a consumerist culture WHICH HAS MADE
COMMODITIES OUT OF WOMEN .
The silence of the Jamiat e Islami , the Hurriyat , the JKL front and
of Mehbooba Mufti Syed the PDP leader on the brutal murder of
two young girls the daugters of a poor labourer in SOPORE in
Kashmir by Lashkar e Toiyba Militants is shocking . It appears
that there protests are SELECTIVE despite the fact that militants
have attacked innocent Kashmiris including men , women and children
and carry out agent provocateur acts including the misleading information
being supplied to military formations . THE ATROCITIES OF MILITANTS
NEEDS AS MUCH INVESTIGATION BY CIVIL SOCIETY AS MUCH
AS THE ATROCITIES BY THE ARMS OF THE STATE . WHY ARE THE
HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE VALLEY AND ELSEWHERE
SILENT ??????????
IS THERE A DELIBERATE OBJECTIVE IN THE COVER UP OF THE
ACTS OF MILITANTS AGAINST THE CIVILIAN POPULATION OF
KASHMIR AS WAS SEEN WHEN SO CALLED MILITANTS WERE
TERRORIZING CIVILIANS IN THE PUNJAB .This question needs
to be asked to all those who have been in the forefront of the recent
agitations . Or is it that lives of two young girls brutally killed by
militants is of no consequence as it does not assist in creating anarchic
conditions for the civilian populatio by those pursuing the agenda of
the balkanisation of South Asia , for a NEW South Asia like the now
disturbed project of the New Middle East .
