The patch tries to "solve" the automatic linking / usage of the openmp library in case it's installed. It's kind of the idea by Gentoo to provide flexibility - meaning to be able to explicitly disable openmp support for hugin (probably this is a bad idea, but ...). That's the idea behind the patch, to have openmp detection kind of as it is now, but the possibility to disable it. Do you think there's a better way to achieve this?
