Thanks, but more questions ... That link gives a very clear explanation of the orientation and direction of Yaw, Pitch and Roll, that matches my test results. Then it directs you to another page to clarify X, Y, Z
https://wiki.panotools.org/Stitching_a_photo-mosaic That gives a less clear and less complete description and so far as I understand it, has an error: It shows the Z direction as forward and it says: The photos are reprojected to a plane (red) that touches the panosphere in (0,0,1) which seems to mean that the tangent point between the plane and panosphere is (0,0,1) which is consistent with Z pointing forward. BUT it also says the plane is (x,y,-1) indicating that Z points backward (matching my test results) and implying that tangent point is (0,0,-1) It shows the X axis pointing right (matching my test results). But some supporting text and/or example numbers would be a nice addition. So far as I can tell, it gives no clue what direction Y points. There is an extra arrow that seems to say something about Y. But (since this is a 2D diagram) I can't see how it communicates anything meaningful about Y. -- A list of frequently asked questions is available at: http://wiki.panotools.org/Hugin_FAQ --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hugin and other free panoramic software" group.
